It was just announced that Aena had reached a pre-agreement with the unions that were threatening to call a 22-day strike during Easter and most key dates of the summer holidays. This strike (which would have affected most Spanish airports) had triggered numerous alarms across Spain because the country, already in a difficult economic situation, is so dependent upon the tourist industry.
So common sense finally prevailed today; but watch for more setbacks on this topic before the summer…
